A ceremony to present cash assistance for farmlands affected by the floods in the fiscal year 2018-2019 was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Kani Township, Sagaing Region on 30 September.

On the occasion, Chairman of the township management committee U Thaik Soe Tun delivered an address and an official from the Department of Agriculture explained the purpose of cash assistance to farmers from Sagarmyar Village and presented cash to the farmers.

22 monsoon paddy fields belonging to 16 farmers from Sagarmyar Village have been hit by flooding. A total of Ks. 210,000 was presented for 22 acres of damaged farmlands at a rate of Ks. 20,000 for per acre.
