The AIA Group Limited, known as AIA, the largest public-listed pan-Asian life insurance group, will sponsor the Myanmar National League along with the AYA Financial Group, according to the Myanmar Football Federation.

The ceremony to announce the AIA and AYA Financial Group sponsorship was held yesterday at the AIA Myanmar office at the Junction City Center in Yangon.

The ceremony was attended by vice chairman of the Myanmar Football Federation and the Myanmar National League committee Dr. Sai Sam Htun.

The sponsorship will give AIA Myanmar significant co-branding opportunities in the MNL, which also includes Myanmar National League-1 and Myanmar National League-2, as well as the MFF Charity Cup, General Aung San Shield, and the Myanmar National Youth League.

The aim of the AIA is to provide the right impetus for the growth and development of Myanmar’s football standards, including upgrading among teams at the grassroots level, according to the football federation.

Also, AIA is an Official Shirt Partner of the Premier League Club Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Tottenham Hotspur is one of the top-ranked teams in the English Premier League with millions of fans in Asia.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
