Aid from Chin State Government arrives in Tiddim

Food assistance from Chin State Government and a social organization arrived in Tiddim, Chin State, yesterday, according to the local Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Information.

The aid includes rice, cooking oil, beans and salt.

Meanwhile, the food aid from a KMSS social organization were distributed to the villagers of the Tiddim Township’s Katel Village where the COVID-19 case was found on 23 March.

Home quarantines enforced in Chin village

Following the case, Chin State government has instructed the locals to stay at homes in Katel Village of Tiddim Township, Chin State, where the Covid-19 case was found.

The Union Government has sent a team to Chin State on 24 March to help the local government in this case. Public events have been banned in the whole Chin State and the restrictions will also affect going churches on Sunday. Chin State Government has contributed K50 million for Covid-19 control fund to the public donation of K30 million. The fund will be used for medicines and other needs.— GNLM
