All students’ water festival was opened at the pavilion in Meikhtila University  in Meikhtila Township, Mandalay region this morning by cutting a ribbon by the Township Administrator U Chan Nyein Aung, Pro-Rector Dr. Daw Kathy Thin of the University and officials concerned.

At the ceremony, Pro-Rector Dr. Daw Kathy Thin talked about the purpose of the students’ domestic water festival and walking water festival held, followed by group dance performances of female students. Then, famous singers Oasis, Y Zet and Jerry Berry (DJ) entertained the audiences with songs. Then, invited guests, teachers and students viewed round booths where traditional foods and snacks are served.—Thein Myint Kyaw ( Meikhtila)
