A carved wooden boat has been salvaged from a creek in Lewe Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Upon receiving information about the discovery of an ancient wooden boat, a combined police squad from Lewe Myoma Police Station rushed to the scene to check it. The boat, which is 62 feet long and about 10 inch in circumference, was raised from Yone Pin Creek near Thebyu Village in Lewe Township, at around 11 a.m. on January 19.
Arrangements are being made by the Forest Department to take the wooden boat to a location where it will be preserved.—MOHA
