Artesian wells were being sunk in the villages of Chaunggwe and Kanyingon, Pinlebu township, Katha district, which often find themselves without drinking water in the summer.

Machin Pole Star Co was engaged in the sinking of artesian well in Chaunggwe village with a fund of K 12 million provided by the Union Government and in the sinking of artesian well in Kanyingon with a fund of K 11.5 million supported by the state government.

On completion, local people will be able to enjoy the full supply of drinking water.—Myo Lwin (Pinlebu)
