ASEAN Football Federation plans to hold eight tournaments this year

The ASEAN Football Feder­ation is planning to host eight tournaments this year, featur­ing participation from Myanmar football and futsal teams. These events include the ASEAN Mit­subishi Electric Cup, the ASE­ANWomen’s Championships, the ASEAN U-23 Championship, the ASEAN U-19 Championship, the ASEAN U-16 Championship, the ASEAN Futsal Champion­ship, the ASEAN Beach Soccer Tournament, and the ASEAN Club Championship in 2024.

 

With the exception of the ASEAN Beach Soccer Tourna­ment, Myanmar teams are set to compete in the other tourna­ments, and some teams have already commenced training. The ASEAN Football Federa­tion has scheduled the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup from 23 November to 21 December, uti­lizing a home and away format. The ASEAN Club Champion­ship is scheduled to take place from August 2024 to May 2025.

 

The ASEAN U-16 Champi­onship is slated for June in Indo­nesia, the ASEAN U-19 Cham­pionship in July, the ASEAN Futsal Championship in Thai­land in May, and the ASEAN Beach Soccer Championship in Thailand in November. The details regarding the ASEAN Women’s Tournament, includ­ing the date and host country, will be announced later. The ASEAN Football Federation will provide updates on whether the ASEAN Futsal Club Champion­ship, the ASEAN U-16 Women’s Championship, and the ASEAN U-19 Women’s Championship will take place. — Ko Nyi Lay/ KZL
