THE ASEAN Tourism Crisis Communication Team (ATCCT) held its 2nd special videoconference meeting on COVID-19 yesterday.
Malaysia chaired the virtual meeting and representatives from ASEAN tourism authorities, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the ASEAN tourism marketing coordinator participated in the meeting.
The meeting aimed to present the progress of the implementation of the team on COVID-19 impacts, exchanging experiences of reducing COVID-19 impacts and the information related to the disease on the ASEAN website by respective ASEAN nations.
Directorate of Hotels and Tourism Deputy Director-General Daw Khin Than Win and officials participated in the meeting.
The meeting discussed the preparation of the analysis report on COVID-19 impacts on ASEAN region’s tourism sector, the coordination with related sectoral bodies to implement the ASEAN Travel Bubble/Travel Corridor, the information related to COVID-19 on the ASEAN website, and ASEAN tourism market promotion.
The ASEAN nations coordinated to implement Digital Economy in Tourism Workshop and ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework to be held in September, which was proposed by US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC).
