An inauguration of Aung San Hall to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Independence Day took place in Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State on 4 January.


Chief Minister of Kayin State Daw Nang Khin Htwe Myint, Speaker of Kayin State parliament U Saw Chit Khin, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Khin Cho, Amyotha Hluttaw Representatives U Chit Oo and Daw Nang Moe Moe Htwe, Kayin State Minister for Planning, Finance and Municipality U Than Naing and Deputy Director U Kyaw Kyaw Oo from Kayin State Municipality formally opened the hall. Then the chief minister gave a speech and the deputy director clarified matters relating to the hall.


Next, a representative from the construction company handed over documents relating to the hall to the Kayin State Municipality. Afterwards, the chief minister and her party paid homage to a prominent Buddhist monk in Myaing Gyi Ngu Area and donated food, clothing and solar lamps to the displaced persons.—Nay Myo Lwin (IPRD)
