Police members led by Police Capt. from Mindon Police Station destroyed 2.50 acres of illegally grown poppy plantations in Mindon Township, Magway Region on 10 January.
Police members are conducting the search operation of illegally grown poppy fields in the Township starting from January 7 and destroyed 1.50 acres of two feet high booming poppies located about eight miles southwest of Myingweh Village in the Township on 10 January.
In a similar incident on the same day, local authorities destroyed another one acre of two feet high blooming poppies located about one and a half miles west of the first poppy plantation.
A total of 2.50 acres of two feet high blooming poppies have been destroyed on 10 January in the township by local authorities. Authorities continue to search illegally grown poppy plantations in the Township.—Township IPRD
