Lee Iacocca, a legend of the US automobile industry who rebuilt Chrysler in the 1980s, has died at the age of 94.
Iacocca joined the Big Three automakers with his entry to Ford after World War Two.
Iacocca then moved to Chrysler. The company was struggling in the 1980s due to rising competition from Japanese automakers. Iacocca rebuilt Chrysler by developing mid- and small-size cars.
He was often referred to as an auto industry icon. His autobiography was read widely by businessmen in Japan.
The Washington Post says he died at his home in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The cause was reportedly complications from Parkinson's disease.
