Awareness talks were held in Kawtwun village of Kamawkachu village-tract in Hlaingbwe Township this morning with the aim of giving local people knowledge about the benefits of reading accruing from reading practices and the possible scourge of narcotic drugs.
At the talks, Daw Khin San Myint, head of the Township Information and Public Relations Deparment gave talks on the advantages gained from reading. Then, U Htay Win, chairman of the Township Anti-Drugs Association mentioned the disadvantages of narcotic drugs.
Afterwards, those present viewed round wall papers and photos being displayed depicting human trafficking and the scourge of drugs with great interest.—Khin San Myint (IPRD)
