A ceremony to raise awareness of natural disaster mitigation and response among schoolchildren was held at Basic Education Post-Primary school in the village of Man Pon in Moe Mauk township, Kachin state this morning.
At the ceremony, deputy township administrator U Hmaing Myat Tun and Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Win Aung made speeches.
Then, U Soe Thu Htike, head of the township Fire Services Department provided the school with two fire extinguishers, which were received by Principal Daw Moe Moe Htwe, who spoke words of thanks.
A total of 100 schoolchildren took part in ten types of natural disaster response awareness game- 10 schoolchildren in each type of game- played in the football ground of the school.—Lun Nan Htwe
