The Chief Minister of the Ayeyarwaddy Region Government U Tin Maung Win and members inspected the conditions of riverbank erosion in some villages in Hinthata Township, Ayeyarwaddy Region on the afternoon of September 11.

During the inspection tour, Chairman of the District Administration Body U Myint Than Win and officials from the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and Development of Water Resources and Rivers Department explained the conditions of water inflow due to breaching. Afterwards, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to officials.

An event to provide relief items to flood victims was held at the Monastery of Phaungseik Village in Hinthada Township. Under this relief items supply program, a total of 224 flood victims from Onhdaw Village, Phaungseik Village, Tarngok Village and Hngapyawdaw Village in the Township received relief items such as medicines, rice, edible oil, salt, onions, eggs and purified drinking water.
