THE Ayeyawady Foundation provided aid to social rescue teams and volunteers working at the heavily damaged U Hla Thein Beikman Examination Hall of Masoeyein Monastery in Mandalay yesterday.

 

Led by U Zaw Zaw, the foundation offered financial as­sistance to the Myanmar Social Rescue Organization, Manijala Social Rescue, Helping Hands Association, the Thaka Social Association from Kachin State and the Thukhakari Social Res­cue Team. They also arranged food and fuel supplies for inter­national rescue teams.

 

The foundation donated to monks who lost limbs due to the earthquake, as well as those undergoing medical treatment. The total contribu­tion amounted to K100 million. — Shine Htet Zaw/KZL
