AYEYAWADY United and reigning champions ISPE FC battled to a 3-3 draw in a dramatic encounter of the Myanmar Women’s League at Padonma Stadium in Yangon yesterday.
Both teams exchanged goals in the intense contest. ISPE FC initially took control with a hat-trick from Shwe Yee Htun, who scored in 12, 45 and 56 minutes. However, Ayeyawady fought back with Phyu Phyu Win finding the net in 39 minutes and San Thaw Thaw scoring in 83 minutes, ensuring the match ended level.
Meanwhile, at Thuwunna Training Ground 1, Shan United and Thitsar Arman FC played out a goalless draw. Shan United ended their two-match losing streak, while Thitsar Arman FC managed to grab a point after previous defeats to Ayeyawady and ISPE FC.
At Yangon United Sports Complex (YUSC), Yangon United triumphed over Myawady FC with a commanding 6-0 victory, securing their second straight win. Myawady, on the other hand, suffered its third consecutive defeat.
After Matchday III, Ayeyawady and Thitsar Arman FC are tied at the top with seven points from three games. Yangon United and Young Lionesses follow closely with six points each.
