A ceremony to open the booths to mark Peasants’ Day was held in Taungsu village, Einme Township, Myaungmya District, Ayeyawady Region this morning.

 

The ceremony was formally opened by Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Hla Moe Aung, Deputy Speaker of regional Hluttaw U San Htwe, and regional minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Tin Aung Win at an auspicious time.

Next the officials presented awards to the dance troupes performed entertainment at the opening ceremony. Afterwards, they look round over 60 displays in the event and the chief minister attended to the needs.

 

The ceremony of Peasants’ Day will be held on a grand scale on 2nd March and the confiscated farmlands with land use certificate-3 and 7 will be returned to the farmland owners.
