Ayeyawady United beat Chin Land FC 2-1

The Ayeyawady United added three points to their kitty by beating Chin Land FC by one goal in the Week 15 match of the Myanmar National League 2019 at their home stadium Pathein yesterday.

 

Ayeyawady United lined up with experienced players, including Captain Thiha Zaw, Kyaw Zaw Lwin, Lwin Moe Aung, and expat player Raphael Success.

 

China Land FC lined up with reliable players — Captain Aung Hein Kyaw, goalkeeper Min Thu, and expat player Kehinde Olantunde.

 

Ayeyawady United launched a strong attack from the kick-off, shocking Chin Land’s defence line in the early minutes of the match.

 

Ayeyawady United’s Raphael Success scored the opening goal at 7 minutes with a superb pass over Chin Land defenders.

 

Keith Nah secured the second goal for Ayeyawady from a penalty shoot at 13 minutes, leading to Chin Land redoubling their efforts to equalize the score.

 

Chin Land finally bagged their first goal at 24 minutes.The goal was scored by Tun Lin Aung with a beautiful pass through the Ayeyawady defenders.

 

Their confidence boosted by the goal, Chin Land worked harder to score, but Ayeyawady put up a strong defence, causing difficulties to Chin Land strikers.

 

Both teams did not make any more goals, and the match ended with a score of 2-1 in favour of Ayeyawady United. — Lynn Thit (Tgi)
