Ayeyawady United break consecutive win record of Hantharwady

With a single goal by Ayeyawady United’s Yar Zar Aung, Ayeyawady United broke the seven consecutive win record held by Hantharwady United during their Week-8 match of the Myanmar National League, which was played yesterday at the Kyauk Taing Stadium in Pathein.


Yesterday’s match proved to be exciting, as each player from both teams received red cards and were suspended from the match.


The winning goal for Ayeyawady United was scored at 46 minutes by Yar Zar Aung, who first participated for his team in this match. The goal caused Hantharwady to hurry in the second half, but Ayeyawady United changed their tactic to strengthen their defense, causing difficulties for Hantarwady.


Ayeyawady United defended their lead until the final whistle for a 1-0 victory, which broke the seven consecutive win record of Hantharwady United. As for the win, Ayeyawady United landed in second place, while Hantharwady United still leads in first place.
