The Chief Minister’s Cup U-17 Men’s Football Tournament was opened at the Kyauk Taing Stadium in Pathein, Ayeyawady Region on 8 July evening.

Before the event, Regional Chief Minister U Hla Moe Aung delivered an address and opened the competition. Next, President of Ayeyawady United FC U Min Hlaing donated Ks. 5 million to the chief minister for organizing the Chief Minister’s Cup U-17 Men’s Football Tournament. The chief minister returned a certificate of honour to the Ayeyawady United FC president.

The contest runs from 8 to 23 July with 26 participating teams and the final match will be held on 23 July in conjunction with a prize awarding ceremony.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
