Bago Chief Minister U Win Thein met with local people at a monatery near Madauk, Nyaunglaybin Township this morning.

In his meeting, the regional chief minister said that he was there to meet with local people in an effort to implement rural developmental tasks and solve the problems in the township through cooperation.

Afterwards, local residents nearby villages asked for electricity supply system, preventative measures for river bank erosion, upgrade of rural roads and school level, repair of devastated school buildings, construction of bridge and providing accommodation for homeless people due to river bank erosion. Afterwards, the officials discussed the demands of the local people.

Afterwards, the regional chief minister and officials provided soccer balls to head of the school in Yepawthaung village. Then the chief minister and officials paid respect and offered provisions to the Presiding Sayadaw of the village. They also inspected the Sittaung River bank erosion near the village.
