An event to donate medical equipment for control, prevention and cure of coronavirus disease was held at Tawwin Hantha Hall of the local government office in Bago City yesterday.

First, a representative from the Myanmar Pulses, Beans & Sesame Seeds Merchants Association explained the purpose of donation and handed over medical supplies worth Ks. 14.1 million. In addition, Asia Line Co, also donated Ks. 2 million through the chief minister and local cabinet members who returned certificates of honour to the well-wishers.

The chief minister expressed words of thanks and briefed about emergency response tasks being carried out in the region. Also present on the occasion were the secretary of local government, officials from Bago’s people hospital and town elders.—Tin Soe (Bago)
