Hpa-an 1 November

With the aim of preventing and controlling the spread of COVID-19, basic education schools across the nation were temporarily closed starting from July. Now, Basic Education Schools in Hpa-an Township, Kayin State are reopened starting from November 1 under the instructions guided by the Ministry of Health and Sports.

Township authorities and departmental officials are conducting to reopen the schools with COVID-19 guidelines and ensure the safety of the students. In Hpa-an Township, there are 430 basic education schools, three monastic schools and five private schools. A total of 1159 schools in Kayin State except schools in Than-daung-gyi and Hpa-pun Townships are reopened starting from November 1.
