Palaw, 11 March
The closing of a basic tailoring course was held in the compound of a monastery in Kalarma Gaung Village in Palaw Township, Taninthayi Region on 10 March.
At the ceremony, Deputy Township Administrator from the General Administration Department U Thein Tun gave a concluding address and the Deputy Staff Officer from the Department of Rural Development U Hlaing Min Tun explained the purpose of the course. According to the DRD official, the course was conducted with the aim of creating job opportunities for rural women and increasing their income.
The course lasted two months and was attended by 15 trainees. The concerned officials presented completion certificates, awards and teaching aid materials to the trainees.—Htoo Wai Yan (IPRD)
