A basic welding course, jointly conducted by Directorate of Industrial Collaboration and Rural Development Department, was opened at the vocational training school in the small city of Tada, Yangon South District yesterday morning.

 

The training course was designed to create job opportunities for local people and improve the socio-economic status of people in rural areas, said Deputy Director U Kyaw Lin Than of the District Rural Development Department.

 

Then, U Kyaw Min Tun, the administrator of the city and U Bone Kyaw, the principal of the school gave remarks and viewed round the teaching aids for the course together with departmental officials and ward and village administrators. The two-week course is being attended by 50 trainees, it is learnt.—Ko Gyi Tin (Tada)
