AT the Art Bridge Art Gallery in Dagon Myothit (North) Township, Yangon Region, arrangements have been made for visitors to closely observe live painting demonstrations by artists participating in the group art exhibition titled ‘The Beginning’, according to artist Ogre, one of the exhibitors.

The exhibition features 100 outstanding artworks created by 38 artists, using various media such as watercolour, oil, and acrylic, and is being held from 4 to 8 April.

“As for me, I am exhibiting a large painting at this show. The artwork measures about five feet square. The painting blends traditional Myanmar style with a modern approach. It was used as the opening piece for the launch of this new gallery. Just as performances in Myanmar dance drama traditionally begin with the Apyodaw dance, it feels meaningful that the exhibition also began with this painting,” said Artist Ogre.

In addition, art enthusiasts can observe live demonstrations of acrylic painting by artist Aung Thin Oo on 5 April, watercolour painting by artist Myint Oo on 6 April, and emotional abstract painting by artist Ogre on 7 April. — ASH/KNN
