A ceremony to upgrade Basic Education Middle School was held at BEMS in Kantha village, Meiktila Township yesterday.

The ceremony was formally opened by District Education Officer Dr. Daw Thandar Swe and officials who sprinkled the scented water on signboard of the school.

At the ceremony, MP U Aung Kyaw Moe of regional Hluttaw and District Education Officer gave remarks and Township Education Officer also clarified the details of school upgrade project. Then the proper documents related to the school upgrade project were handed over to the Head of the School. Next, a member of school development committee spoke words of thanks to the officials.

The upgraded schools in this academic year were two Basic Education High Schools, two Basic Education High Schools (Branch), three Basic Education Middle Schools, one Basic Education Middle School (Branch), two Basic Education Post-Primary Schools and two Basic Education Middle Schools.
