No casualties were reported after a big rain tree fell down on a house in Darka Village, Kangyidaunt Township in Ayeyawady Region on 14 July due to gusty.
The incident occurred in Darka Village, Kangyidaunt Township at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. A large rain tree measuring 9 ft. in circumference and 91 ft. in length fell down on a house, damaging the rooftop of the house.
Policemen, local authorities, rescuers, firefighters, local militiamen and residents cleared off the debris and collapsed power poles. The family members from the damaged house are taking shelter at their relatives’ home.—Nan Htike (KGD)
