Blood clam farming business became trendy in the 2017- 2018 financial year. The capacity of a clam farm is estimated at 30,000 clams. There are around 100 clam farming ponds in Taninthayi Region, said Daw Ni Ni engaged in blood clam farming in Yaykantaung village-tract, Kyunsu Township, Taninthayi Region.
