An event to provide books and magazines donated by Yangon Region Government to village libraries was held at the office of Information and Public Relations Department in Thongwa Township, Yangon Region from 9 to 10 May.

At the event, chairman of the Township library supervisory committee U Zaw Weik gave a speech and an official from the Township Information and Public Relations Department clarified the purposes of the donation of books and magazines for village libraries.

Afterwards, U Zaw Weik and officials handed over books and magazines to Lungeh Arman library in Makyipauk Village, Paleyadan library in Pale Village and Pyinnyiadana Library in Nayaw Village in the Township. The donations were accepted by respective members of village library supervisory committee.—U Kyaw San(Thongwa)
