The consecration ceremony, the 51st alms-rice offering ceremony, and the Maha Pathana recitation ceremony are being held at Botahtaung Pagoda in Botahtaung Township, Yangon Region, from 15 to 22 December, according to U Aung Ko Zaw, a member of the pagoda board of trustees.
The consecration ceremony began on 15 December, attended by 90 Sayadaws. The Maha Pathana recitation ceremony is taking place from 16 to 20 December.
The 51st alms-rice offering ceremony is scheduled for 3 pm on 22 December, during which offerings will be presented to 108 Sayadaws, including Sayadaws from the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Tipitaka Sayadaws and Ovadacariya Sayadaws, and 36 nuns. — ASH/ MKKS
