The Royal Sportainment Complex featuring a bowling center and an indoor ice-skating rink was opened yesterday at Nine Miles, Taw Win Street, Mayangone Township in Yangon. The complex is the first of its kind in Myanmar.
The opening ceremony was attended by governmental officials and businessmen.
Yangon Command Commander Major General Thet Pon and officials inaugurated the Royal Sportainment Complex, while Yangon Mayor U Maung Maung Soe opened the bowling center.
Construction of the Royal Sportainment Complex began in September, 2016. The complex aims to promote public wellness and provide sports facilities to youths and their families. The complex houses a 675-square-meter ice-skating rink on the ground floor. The width of the ice on the rink is 88 mm.
The bowling center on the first floor of the complex has 11 lanes for bowling and a stand which can accommodate 400 spectators. The Royal Sportainment Complex will be open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.—MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Lin)
