Two marble Buddha images, diamond bud, vane and golden umbrella crown that are meant for the Eternal Peace Pagoda were consecrated at the eastern entrance of the Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday along with a parittas reciting ceremony.
Members of the Sangha led by Lewe Pauk Myaing Monastery Sayadaw Abhidhaja Maharattha Guru Bhaddanta Zaninanda consecrated the two marble Buddha images, diamond bud, vane and golden umbrella crown.
Afterwards, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr. Myo Aung and wife Daw Khin Saw Mu, Nay Pyi Taw Council members Colonel Min Naung, U Aung Myin Tun and U Aye Maung Sein, departmental heads and officials, members of board of trustees of the Uppatasanti Pagoda, donors and merit organizations received the Nine Precepts from Lewe Pauk Myaing Monastery Sayadaw.
Metta Sutta was then recited by Members of the Sangha, and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and wife, members of Nay Pyi Taw Council and officials donated offertories to the Members of the Sangha.
The ceremony came to a conclusion after Pauk Myaing Monastery Sayadaw delivered a sermon and merits gained were shared. Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and wife, members of Nay Pyi Taw Council and officials then conveyed the two marble Buddha images, diamond bud, vane and golden umbrella crown to the Eternal Peace Pagoda in Dekkhinathiri Township from the eastern entrance of the Uppatasanti Pagoda.—Han Lin Naing (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
