A capability building (GIS) training for staff from Rural Development Department was concluded at the meeting hall of the District Rural Development Department in Myaungmya township, Myaungmya district, yesterday afternoon.
 

The training was intended to bring about skillful staff that are able to perform rural development works efficiently. At the event, head of the District RDD U Thin Oo made an opening speech and then, a trainer presented awards to the outstanding trainees. In the five-day training, trainers from C-Nine Engineering Service & Training taught the trainees subjects including basic concept of GIS, data acquisition, data management, map layout and design. 

A total of 14 trainees from rural development department offices in the townships of Myaungmya, Wakema, Laputta, Einme and Myaungmya attended the training.—District IPRD
