Families affected by strong winds, heavy rain, and rising sea levels in Dedaye Township, Ayeyarwady Region received financial aid and relief supplies on 11 June. The event was held at 2:30 p.m. at the Township General Administration Department hall.
The Township Administration Body Chairman U Mya Thein Maung explained the purpose of the aid before distributing support alongside Major Mon Myat Thu Soe and Disaster Management Officer Daw Aye Ma Ma Aung.
A total of K3.5 million was provided to 121 people from 29 households in Taw Chok village tract. Additionally, K1.74 million in housing materials and rice was given to 48 people from 15 households in Mayan West, and K585,000 to 14 people from 4 households in Toe village tract.— Azar Lin
