A ceremony to provide cash aid to victims of strong wind was held at the meeting room of the Township General Administration Department in Thayet Township, Magway Region this afternoon.

During the event, the Township Administrator delivered an opening speech. Next, assistant Director of the District Disaster Management Department clarified the purposes of the provision of cash aid for victims of strong wind.

Under this cash aid program, 369 people from 102 households received Ks. 774900 for purchasing rice and five monasteries and 102 households received Ks 2.7 million for purchasing construction materials.—Zaw Htet(Thayet)
