A ceremony to provide cash aid and relief items to fire victims was held at the meeting room of the township General Administration Department in Tanaing Township, Kachin State yesterday.

Officials from the state Department of Disaster Management under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided a total of K 214700 for purchasing rice and construction materials and rescue kit box with 17 items to seven family members from a household in Dukaung Ward in in the town of Tanaing. 

Fire broke out about 6:00 pm on 9 August in Dukaung Ward in the town of Tanaing and totally destroyed a house.
