A ceremony to provide cash assistance former traditional Lethwei players with poor health, referee and coach was held at 10:30 am on 8 April at Thein Phyu Stadium in Mingala Taungnyunt Township of Yangon Region.
First of all, Dr. Tin Aung Lwin, Chairman of the Myanmar Lethwei Federation, gave a welcome speech and then Managing Director of Popular Group U Myo Min discussed matters relating to the provision of cash assistance.
Afterwards, U Kyin Oo, patron of the Myanmar Lethwei Federation under Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs presented K 1000000 each and gifts to former traditional Lethwei players, referee and coach. Next, Chief Referee of Myanmar Lethwei Federation U Daung Ni spoke words of thanks.
During the grant presentation event, 10 former traditional Lethwei players, referee, coach and chief referee of Myanmar Lethwei Federation received a total of K 13.0 million.—Bala Soe
