A ceremony to provide cash assistance to flood victims whose homes became relocated due to riverbank erosion was held at the meeting room of the Township General Administration Department in Minbu Township, Magway Region yesterday.

47 family members from eleven households in Neikbankyun Village were evacuated to safer places as a result of Ayeyarwady Riverbank erosion on 23 December.

Officials from The township Department of Disaster Management and GAD provided a total of K 1198700 for purchasing rice and construction materials to victims of riverbank erosion in Neikbankyun Village in Minbu Township, Magway Region.
