South Okkalapa, 11 January

An event to provide cash aid to monasteries and nunneries was held at Ngwekyayan Priyatti Monastery in Ward-3 in South Okkalapa Township, Yangon Region yesterday.

At the event, officials from the township General Administration Department, community leaders, businessmen from industrialize zone and well-wishers jointly donated K 11.7 to 165 monasteries and five nunneries amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the township.

The township Administrator U Nyein Chan Aung and deputy Administrator U Tint Lwin, Chairman of the township Development committee U Kyaw Zayyar Win, Chairman of Industrial Zone Management Committee U Kaung and members, Community leaders and well-wishers in the township attended the event.
