The township Department of Social Welfare under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided cash aid to a mother of triplets at 200-bed hospital in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region yesterday morning.

The woman, who gave birth to triplets on 18 May at Popa station hospital in Kyaukpadaung Township, Mandalay Region, was brought to Nyaung-U hospital at about 1:00 pm on the same day after a normal delivery.

The township medical superintended Dr. Aung Aung and Assistant Director of the township Department of Social Welfare Daw Win Mar Oo handed over K 500000 to a mother who had given birth to three girls.—Kyaw Min Oo (Yenanchaung)
