Bawlakhe, 1 September

A ceremony to provide cash aid to elderly people, pregnant women and children below two years old was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Bawlakhe Township, Kayah State this morning. 

At the event, the district Administrator U Thein Aung gave a speech and handed over social pension to elderly people above 85 years old in the township. Under this cash aid program, 26 senior citizens in the township received K 30000 each.

Officials also provided K 19.365 million to 222 pregnant women and 207 children below two years old for the months of April, May and June, and K 21.735 million to 208 pregnant women and 275 children for the months of July, August and September.
