Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided pregnant women and children below two years old at its one-stop service office in Dimawso Township, Kayah State this morning.
At the event, the State Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Minister U Bosko, the Township Administor U Nyan Hlaing and departmental officials presented K 15000 for three months (January, February and March) to each pregnant women and children below two years old from Naung Pale village-track, Thesulay village-track and Daw Kalawdu village-track in the Township.
A total of 172 people – 105 pregnant women and 67 children below two years old from the areas received the cash assistance. Officials from the Township Health and Medical Services Department also provided health care services to the pregnant women and children who attended cash-giving ceremony.—Ri Re (Dimawso)
