A ceremony to provide cash aid to pregnant women and children below two years old was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State this morning. The provision of this cash aid is the fourth of its kind in the Township.

At the event, Speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw U Saw Chit Khin delivered an opening speech.  Next, Director of Kayin State Department of Social Welfare Daw Mya Marlar Soe clarified the purpose of the provision of cash aid for pregnant women and Children below two years old.

Next, the Hluttaw Speaker U Saw Chit Khin handed over K 107.1 million provided by the government amid the outbreak of COVID-19 to 18471 pregnant women and 5336 children from wards and villages in Hlaingbwe Township.

Under this cash aid program, 5560 pregnant women and 1612 children from Paingkyone sub-township and 1825 pregnant women and 595 children from Shanywathit sub-Township also received K 30000 each.
