Mongpying, 6 September

An event to provide cash aid to pregnant women and children below two years old was held at the meeting room of the Township General Administration Department in Mongpying Township, Kengtung District, Shan state(East) on 5 September. The provision of cash aid is the second of its kind in the Town.

First of all, chairman of the Township Administration Council U Myint Win delivered an opening speech. Next, an official from the Township Department of Social Welfare clarified the purpose of the provision of cash aid for pregnant women and children below two years old.

Under this cash aid program, a total of 354 pregnant women and 816 children below two years old from nine village tracts in the Township received Ks. 49.86 million for the months of April, May and June in the fiscal year of 2011-2023, according to an official from the Township Department of Social Welfare.—Nan Thandar Oo(IPRD)
