An event to provide financial aid to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Ingapu Township, Ayeyarwady Region yesterday afternoon.

During the event, officials from the Township Department of Disaster Management and the Township General Administration Department handed over a total of Ks. 265400 and facial masks to respective village administrators for purchasing rice and construction materials for victims of strong winds.

The powerful winds hit the villages in Ingapu Township on 15 October this year and destroyed seven houses. Under this cash aid program, 24 victims of strong winds from seven houses in the villages in the Township received cash aid.—Man Kyaw (IPRD)
