A ceremony to provide financial aid to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the office of the Village Administrator in Gyokbinsakhan Village in Letpadan Township, Bago Region yesterday.

At the event, staff officer of the township Department of Disaster Management Daw Win Win Mar handed over K 5.2 Million and 10 rescue kit box with 16 items to 115 households whose homes were damaged by strong wind in the Township.

A powerful winds hit 14 Villages in Letpadan Township on 17, 18 and 19  May and flipped over the roofs of 105 houses and destroyed 10 houses in the township. But no casualties were reported.—Wint Nandar Htay
