A ceremony to provide financial aid to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the meeting room of the township General Administration Department in Mawlaik, Sagaing Region this morning.

At the event, Chairman of the Township Management Committee U Thet Myint Oo clarified the purposes of the donation of cash aid for strong wind victims. Then, U Thet Myint Oo and an official from the district Department of Social Welfare handed over K 332700 to six households whose homes were damaged by strong wind in the Township.

Powerful winds hit four villages in Mawlaik Township on 21 April and destroyed six houses.—Mawlaik Tharlay
