An event to provide cash aid and relief items to fire victims was held at the Township General Administration Department in Nyaunglaybin Township, Bago Region yesterday.

Staff from the Township General Administration Department and Disaster Management Department under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided a total of Ks 108400 and rescue kit box with 17 items to fire victims in Aleywa Village in the Township for purchasing rice and building materials.

A fire broke out on May 8 in Aleywa Village in Nyaunglaybin Township and completely destroyed a house. So far, no casualties have been reported.—Township IPRD
