The first ceremony to provide cash aids to farmers who lost monsoon paddy fields due to flood occurred in the first week of August in 2019 was held at General Administration Department in Ye Township, Mon State yesterday.

At the ceremony, Township Administrator gave opening remarks and an official from the Township Agricultural Department clarified the purpose of the cash aids. Then, an official from the Township Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics also clarified the detailed information of the acres of the monsoon paddy fields facing with flood.

Next, farmers who own 757 acres of monsoon paddy fields in five village-tracts were provided K 7,570,000 at a rate of K 10,000 per acre by the Mon State Government. Aung Phyo (IPRD)
